Today is happening over here…
Lots more at HKFP, including proof that a picture paints a thousand words from the excellent Badiucao…
Elsewhere on the Exciting Hong Kong Handover 20th Anniversary, there’s this from the China Policy Institute Journal with some intriguing historical context; on a more literary level, even the New Yorker has a go.
Never seen you so lost for words, Hemmers.
Can’t imagine what your Siamese twin in Stanley will find to say about this.
Perhaps you can kick HKFP up the behind and get them to write provocative, muck-raking, undercover, satirical yellow journalism.
Or at least better than their pseudo-corporate journo junk of the present.
Probably staffed by Tories and Liberals.
Pip, pip!
As the Arthur Scargill of Stanley said, HKFP could do with a bit of muck-raking. If HKFP can create an image of the ‘go to’ place where people can safely drop inside information, juicy gossip, tips and salacious stories in general, it would benefit both the medium and the public. Even the NY Times has a box on the front page, asking for confidential tips from their readers.
HKFP should be more Apple Daily, not The Guardian.
