Hmm. 60dB is about the level of normal conversation. 62dB is hardly a distrubance by HK standards.

Im not sure this is related to another issue I have heard of in that part of the world, ie, animosity by both villagers and a couple of Marco Polo’s towards some expats, a few of whom are apparantly airline employees, who are buying houses in the area.
